City Clerk / Treasurer

City Clerk Duties

  • Administer Oaths of Offices
  • Attend all council meetings
  • Attests to Mayor’s signature
  • Certifies all legal documents
  • Custodian of all municipal records
  • Custodian of the Official City seal
  • Keep a journal or minute book and records all proceedings of governing body
  • Keep ordinance books

Treasurer Duties

  • Maintain accounts and books to show where and from what source all monies paid have been derived and to whom and when monies have been paid
  • Deposit daily funds received for the City
  • Provide processing of payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashiering, budgeting, and accounting services for all City departments
