City of Coweta expands storm siren coverage

Storm Siren

City of Coweta contractors completed the installation of a new storm siren in the area of 157th Street South and 297th East Avenue on May 10th. This new siren will work in conjunction with the city's five other sirens to provide early warning for threatening weather and other public safety emergencies. The new siren will provide better coverage for that area of the city, including two nearby schools. As always during this time of year, we encourage you to be weather aware and to pay close attention to weather forecasts and alerts regarding potentially dangerous conditions.
