Solid Waste Disposal Event & DEA Drug Take Back - April 24, 2021

In conjunction with the ODOT Annual TRASH-OFF, the City of Coweta/Coweta Public Works Authority will be sponsoring its annual free TRASH-OFF Day on April 24th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This event will be held at the old Cottonwood Acres subdivision located on 151st St. S., approximately 2 blocks west of Division Street. Residents of Coweta who pay City utilities are eligible. The Coweta Public Works Authority will have staff on hand to assist you with the offloading of your items.  Please be aware that the following items will NOT be accepted: any type of hazardous waste, chemicals, lead-based paints, petroleum products, tires, batteries, or construction debris. Please contact the Coweta Public Works Authority at (918) 486-8073 with any questions regarding this event.

Additionally -- this Saturday is the DEA Drug Take Back event is happening, and the Coweta Police Department is proud to participate in this event. Any citizen may bring their unwanted/unused drugs to the Coweta Police Department lobby to be placed in our mailbox style container, no questions asked. You may not  drop off liquids, inhalers, or needles.  All other items may be placed in the container and will be destroyed by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics.
